As We Lay Dying

At some time, we will all take that last breath. The time surrounding death can be both beautiful and hard but is never the same as someone else’s path. Step into a world both familiar and foreign as you follow hospice doctors, nurses, patients, and families at the end of life. Each chapter is the odyssey of a different character as they encounter an impending death. As the characters intertwine and weave themselves into the book, you will be left knowing one thing; this is not a book about death as much as it is about humanity. The intangible themes we cope with as we lay dying, are merely more vivid extremes of the things we face living: hope, forgiveness, regret, fear, control, pride, and acceptance.
